        Mel Delija

Picture
Mel Delija is a superb artist and master art teacher.
As an important Canadian impressionistic painter, his primary focus is the light and atmosphere of the rugged Canadian landscape. He is also an avid and sought after portrait painter. Mel's pen and wash drawings and his watercolours are amazing to behold as they rapidly explode on paper. Individuals interested in purchasing a work, discussing a commission or seeking a teacher may leave a message for him at 416-783-5388.

A very wonderful portrait

This is a masterful painting that captures the image of a little girl so beautifully.

The image was relayed to this website via a relatively low resolution I-phone.

The original painting is breath taking!

This beautiful watercolour took form in the studio on November 14, 2009. I was painting beside Mel and frequently glanced at him working so I had the opportunity to watch him develop this work from the beginning to it's conclusion. He worked swiftly yet effortlessly.
